We are so excited for this show and even more gosh darn excited to bring our special guest Velvet Kingsington aka Plainjane burlesque in from New York to tease and tantalize yinz.
a little about our lovely guest Velvet Kingsington.
For over a decade, Velvet Kensington has been teasing and tantalizing audiences with her dances of body positivity and queer fantasy. She moved to New York to follow her dream becoming internationally recognized. Thanks to that dream, she is now International Master of Tassels. She hopes to share her joyous tassels and glitter with you all. Find her on Facebook and Instagram. Before becoming a Burlesque performer, Velvet Kensington received a BFA in Dance from George Mason University. This degree included composition, music, theater and other performing arts. She has worked with Living Social, the DC Gurly Show, the Peek-A-Boo Revue and San Francisco’s own Red Hots Burlesque and the queer ballet company Ballez. (Ballez.org)
also joining us on stage this month is Gendeara Faulkner, a social justice, undoing oppression, anti-violence, queer, feminist organizer, activist, and performer. They're an 8 year veteran of the Velvet Hearts - Columbus and Pittsburgh! They love playing at the intersections of comedy, gender, politics and justice.
Last but certainly not least Mr Ace Phoenix will be joining us, former Mr Pgh Pride Drag King, current co-manager of the Velvet Heartbreakers and co-producer of SHINE, 18+ open stage and the 1st MX Pgh pride happening in September with his production company, Flaming Aces Productions.
We are excited for all of our guests and to see all of you out on Friday night!
All classes are pay as you enter.
